How to get JSTL to work in IntelliJ IDEA

Here's a quick tip for getting those JSTL tags to validate properly in IntelliJ IDEA.

1> Make sure the taglib is included in your Module Settings -> Libraries (Classpath)
2> Add the URI to your IDE Settings -> Resources - > Configured External Resources

If you have your JSP file set similar to this:

Then just set up your external resource like this:

URI: http://java.sun.com/jstl/ea/core
PATH: //c.tld

This should stop the red in your JSP files and it will get tag completion and validation working.

Hey there, I also can't get relative includes to work. For instance, I have: <%@ include file="taglibs.jsp" %> which has all my taglibs defs like: <%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/spring.tld" prefix="spring" %> but I can't get these to work - alt+enter doesn't seem to do anything (Idea 4.5.4) thanks, Fred

I tried the "alt+enter" and it doesn't seem to work for me. Thanks for the other info though. That works! Anyone know how to get relative includes to work in IntelliJ? For instance, I use the following tag, <%@include file="../include/header.jsp" %>, and it is all red in IntelliJ. Yet, when I compile and deploy, everything works just fine and the file contents are included.
